A while back we talked about the HTC J Butterfly. Well, here it is in its North American form with Verizon Wireless as the Droid DNA officially announced today. Again touting pretty much HTC’s Butterfly specs with a quadcore S4 pro processor, 2GB of RAM and 8MP camera in the rear. Of course the big story is the 5″ 1080p display with a DPI of 440. Truly a huge feat for HTC to get that many pixels in such a small display. Again the battery hasn’t changed and that 2,020 mAh battery doesn’t impress anyone. Only time will tell whether that battery is big enough for a full day’s worth of “phoning” especially with such a huge display.
So in my previous Butterfly article, I mentioned that it could be the HTC’s version of the Nexus, well I’ll be the first one to correct myself and it isn’t. Oh well, can’t win em all.
Pricing for this beast of a phone is starting at $199 with a 2 year contract. Full retail will run you $599.99. Is it just me, or is it just that this phone eerily reminds me that this could be HTC 2012 version of the Rezound?
